Set in the North Shore of Chicagoland, the landscape integrates a modest sized lot’s landscape with a generously sized home.
There are various transitions in grade from the front stoop, back yard, driveway, and garage areas. All of the transitions are facilitated through natural stone and custom concrete work.
The back yard incorporates a unique water feature that starts as a peaceful drip and transitions to a brook, and terminates into a pond. The water feature incorporates granite boulders, Pennsylvania Field Stone, Mexican pebbles, and bluestone.
The outdoor fire place is set naturally between the flagstone walkway and hemlock trees – creating privacy. Large granite boulders are used for seating. Landscape lighting and irrigation keep the property looking lush and bright throughout.
Peonies, roses, hydrangea, and various perennials create a color rotation and variation in texture throughout the growing season.
