Our landscape design build process allows us to evaluate your site, respond creatively to your wants & needs for your outdoor space, and build it to your satisfaction.
Our straightforward 5-step process will walk you through our landscape design build program.
From start to finish you will be assigned a designer (or client care manager) to best serve you and your property’s needs.

Our first step to our process you will be introduced to a landscape designer (or a client care manager) for your client meeting.
1. Client Meeting
A Milieu team member will meet you onsite to review your project and property. We want to understand how you use and will be using your space. Review possible issues on the site and start a discussion of possible ideas for the direction of your requested project. At this meeting, please have an up-to-date plat of survey, your ideas, and budget in mind.
2. Design Agreement & Fee
Our landscape design agreement is a commitment to the design process and kickstarts the creative development of your space. Landscape design fees range from $500-$2,500 and are reimbursable if you decide to install the project with Milieu Landscaping. Our designers and client care managers will discuss your specific fee(s) and reimbursement(s) for your home’s design on your agreement.
3. Site Survey
4. Design Development & Project Proposal
In this step we present conceptual drawings and/or developed drawings of your desired space. We start by expressing the spatial development and project style. We then move into more detailed drawings, plant selections, and elevations if needed. We will present a project budget once developed drawings begin.
5. Project Construction & Installation
In this step landscapes come to life. Upon a signed project proposal and deposit to secure materials, our team will keep you updated on the installation process. Our skilled crews will work hard to install your project. The project designer (or client care manager) will help supervise throughout the project installation and answer any questions you may have.
